mCSEM data processing
Frequency transformations are carried out on the receiver data up to a maximum frequency depending on the emitted source waveform and signal to noise ratio. The data window length in the frequency transform is optimized to avoid distortion of the signal. Indeed, sources and potentially receivers are moving when assuming static source and receivers during the frequency transformation. At the same time, an acceptable signal to noise ratio (stacking window), is required over the full range of source-receiver offsets. Data are normalized by the source dipole moment, corrected for the frequency response of the receiver and merged with source and receiver positions derived from acoustic navigation.
