Fourier Transform

The Fourier transform is a mathematical transform which changes between the time domain t (or distances x) and the frequency domain f (or similarly wavenumbers k).
The linearity and reversibility of this transformation and the simple manner with which it translates the product of a convolution makes it indispensable for the analysis of processes and linear systems.
