Filtering > a second order MA filter

The second order MA filter attenuates a particular frequency. This causal filter has a three samples impulse response (FIR filter).

The filter is defined by various parameters which are the frequency to attenuate and the co-efficient of over-tension Q, which approximates the ratio between the spectral amplitude at the null frequency and its value at the attenuated frequency.
It is possible to choose the attenuated frequency and the over-voltage coefficient which gives the coefficient Q. We should note a phase rotation of 180 degrees for the attenuated frequency.
The example shows the impulse response (in time), the modulus of the FT with a linear scale or a dB scale and the phase of the FT.
