Step 2: Before attribute computation - Reflected amplitudes.
The seismic section is the inline 690 extracted from post-stack time migrated 3D seismic data (Netherlands, F3 Block). Faults have been picked (in red) to ease understanding of layering geometry. Shallow gas accumulations are presented in a faulted 3-way closures context.

Step 3: With the Envelope attribute.
The presence of gas can be seen on the seismic section by seismic anomalies defined as flat spots which are highligted by the Envelope seismic attribute.
