A signal is dispersive if its group and phase velocities are frequency dependent. The group velocity is
due to the displacement of the envelope of the signals. The phase velocity is a function
of the delay of the carrier.
We present the dispersion analysis of a recording of Rayleigh waves which with Love waves are the dispersive
waves which make up organized surface noise.
