The picking of the arrival times of the down-going wave field is used to compute the time versus depth relationship and the different seismic velocities.
The video shows the vertical time versus depth relationship and the seismic velocities: interval velocity, average velocity and root mean square velocity.
The root mean square velocity gives the velocity model which has been used to process the 3D survey, shown in the previous example entitled " 3D seismic survey". The vertical time versus depth relationship is the law which has been used to perform the time to depth conversion.
