Seismic applications > Refraction - Reflection seismic survey

The static corrections are computed from the picked times of the refracted waves. The velocity distribution which flattens simultaneously the reflected waves on the reciprocal shots is the velocity model used for the NMO corrections.

  • Step 1: Static and NMO corrections and FK diagram

  • Step 2: Reciprocal shots after static and NMO corrections

  • Step 3: Signal to Noise Enhancement and F-K diagram.
A 3 terms moving average filter is used to enhance the signal to noise ratio.

  • Step 4: Reciprocal shots after Signal to Noise Enhancement

  • Step 5: Single fold seismic section.
The processing sequence leads to a very high-resolution reflectivity section displayed in amplitude, which shows seismic horizons down to 200 ms
